Alistair Dabbs is a highly experienced editorial production specialist, regularly freelancing as a magazine production editor and editorial workflow manager.

Before retraining as a sub-editor in 1989, Alistair worked in print production for a magazine publishing company in London, and has since established himself as an expert in all aspects of editorial production, from writing, editing and subbing to digital imaging, page layout and prepress.

Alistair is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) and a QuarkXPress master. He is also a regular beta-tester for Adobe, focusing on the key Adobe Creative Suite applications using in modern publishing (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Pro) and Adobe’s new Digital Media Publishing tools for producing beautiful interactive magazines for the Apple iPad.

He is an acknowledged expert in colour management, preflighting and PDF workflows.
